Why Business Partnerships are Important for Successful Salons

Have you ever thought about partnering with other local businesses? If you haven’t, it is time you reconsidered! There is so much power behind partnerships, so let me explain with an example.

At my salon – Be Inspired Salon – we partner with several local businesses. We partner with businesses in both the beauty and wellness industry, specifically for services we don’t offer, such as massage, nails, and other aesthetics. But, that’s only the beginning of our partnerships! Additionally, we partner with dentists, gyms, photographers and even coffee vendors! In fact, we have an entire page on our site dedicated to our partners.

So, why am I so adamant about local partnerships? I have three main reasons:

  1. It helps your salon business become part of your community. By going out and building relationships with other businesses, you’re not only getting your name out there, but you’re creating strong local ties.
  2. Your partners become your marketing advocates – and vice versa! You promote their services to your clientele, and they will do the same to theirs.
  3. It’s an added service for your clients! By having partnerships, you automatically have great recommendations for your clients. And if you’ve built a strong relationship with a business, you have the opportunity to provide cross-promotional deals.
